  • Powers and duties of officers (administrative, financial and judicial):GRID-INDIA has well defined Organizational Structure and functions through various departments/divisions under the overall supervision of CMD as per the Organogram. The details of administrative, financial and other powers to respective RLDCs/NLDC/ Corporate Office are indicated in the Delegation of Powers (DoP) of the company. Further, adequate institutional arrangements exist to enable the officers and employees of the corporation discharge their duties effectively.
  • Power and duties of other employees: GRID-INDIA has well defined Organizational Structure and functions through various departments/divisions under the overall supervision of CMD as per the Organogram. The details of administrative, financial and other powers to respective RLDCs/NLDC/ Corporate Office are indicated in the Delegation of Powers (DoP) of the company.   • Instrument of Delegation of powers (DoP) broadly designates powers at different levels, with Board of Directors being the highest decision making body.

  • Allocation of work is as per the respective Organogram/Organisation chart at the Unit/Department level.

Pursuant to setting up as a wholly owned Government Company, GRID-INDIA Board in its Meeting held on 03.01.2017 adopted all policies, regulations etc. of POWERGRID as on 03.01.2017 till such time these are amended, modified or formulated in GRID-INDIA. Policy decisions in regards to Administrative and Financial matters are taken by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the various authorities/departments.
(ii) Final decision making authority : Decisions in day-to-day working are made through office notes, initiated by an Officer and put up to the final approval of the Competent Authority is obtained in line with the Delegation of Power.

(v) Channel of supervision and accountability: Instrument of Delegation of powers (DoP) broadly designates powers at different levels, with Board of Directors being the highest decision making body.
KPIs as approved by CMD, provide system of internal controls for discharges of duties in a timely manner.

(ii) Norms/ standards for functions/ service delivery The Employees of the Company discharge their duties to carry out its various business operations in accordance with the objects prescribed in the Memorandum of Association of the Company and in line with the provisions of the all applicable statutory and rules and regulations framed there under. GRID-INDIA has well defined procedures and guidelines for discharge of various functions. These are highlighted below:

The Board of Directors of GRID-INDIA has delegated the decision-making authorities to the management under a well spelt out document called ‘Delegation of Power’.
• Procedures, Guidelines, Manuals
To facilitate smooth discharge of responsibilities by all the employees, the Corporation has developed a well-defined systems and procedures in almost all the areas of its operations e.g. the elaborate facilitates transparent procurement, the operation manuals provide information to operational personnel for discharging their responsibilities, HR Manuals Volume-I, II & III and Employees Handbook etc.
• Committees of independent eminent persons
The Board has constituted several other Board sub-committees on functional matters such as the committee for Audit Committee, CSR Committee, Nomination & Remuneration Committee and Research & Development Committee to have better and more focused attention to these areas.
• Quality Control
NLDC and RLDCs have been certified for PAS 99:2012 for Integrated Management System (IMS) standards for ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), ISO 27001:2013 (Information Security Management System). Further, the IMS policy statement is reviewed annually and made available to the public and all other stake holders.
